We had heard amazing things about Turkey and were excited to go there.

We had quite a diverse plan from sight seeing in Istanbul 

 

and going shopping at the Bazaar

to living on a gullet for 7 days with 16 other people

Zoe made some friends

These guys were in the water every chance they got. Even I spent a fair bit of time in there. 

We even to ventured to our first all inclusive as a family. The kids loved being able to eat ice cream all day long.

and finally a trip to Cappadocia before leaving to Uzbekistan

There are a few big draws in Cappadocia. Actually it turns out that many people seem to go there with Instagram in mind. There were people posing everywhere. One of them being hot air balloon rides. People get up for a sunrise balloon ride. We got up to watch the show. One morning we counted at least 100 balloons, each having a basket that held a minimum of 24 people. The going price of the ride averaged €300. There was surge pricing and changed daily because they could not fly in the wind driving the price even higher. Lesson of the day was to figure out how much money was in the air any given day.

Another were all the famous sunset points. We had no idea what we were signing up for when we went for the ATV ride. We took pictures of people taking pictures of the sunset.

Next was the naturally occurring rock formations. It's called Love Valley.

All in all, Turkey was a pretty good time. We had been told that it would be a "cheap" country. But as we are finding out, post covid, there are very few "cheap" countries left and we are still looking.
